Hey bud. long time no speak. looks good!

Yea, gonna be getting back into the VW scene a bit, I've missed it bigtime. Will be at Stonor Park this year in the beast if anyone else is going? (will have a snoop about later and see)

Hope ya still got the Ced tho man???

Skud looks awesome :)

I have, for now. Long story with that involving tales of woe and disintegrating brand new engine parts. will be up for sale soon though, I just can't afford to run a 3 litre auto in todays modern climes, what with trying to save for somewhere to live as well!

AWESOME! Welcome back Rich :)

Should get one dude, MOT failed ones needing welding are as cheap as 300 and if you get a Dizzle like mine they do a million miles to the gallon! :D

Anyway, more pics of the little blue bucket. :)

I'm in the process of rebadging it because its not a VW and I have no idea why the P/O thought it would look good, gluing and screwing random VW badges everywhere. The one on the tailgate was a boot badge from a Mk2 Golf and was held on with self tappers, and was wonky. Noice. Also needs new tail lights..
Also getting my valter to go over it with G3 because its not all that shiny and the paint isn't that great. That all said, its good fun and still looks cool :)
Only mods it had when I got it were the 15" BBS wheels and the Alpha Romeo seats (sooooo comfy)

Posted Image

Thought I'd attack it with my trademark Piston gearlever ;)

Posted Image

And added some amber 501 bulbs into the indicators as running lights. The amber looks nice with the blue. (bad photo)

Posted Image

Also replaced the worn ARB D bushes today and disabled the EGR valve. Cold air burns better I hear

Anyway, will have to get some nicer shots when its all mopped up properly and less orange melonpeel-y.

oopdates!

First up, painted the wheels graphite. Looks much tidier than a million years worth of brake dust silver.

Posted Image

Then utlised a Volvo 940 Turbo front spoiler for fake lowness.

Posted Image

But. That won't stay for long, because..

Posted Image

I bought this hunkajunk. Picked it up for a song because the wings and arches are rotten as a rotten thing. So I am going to do a front end swap so I have the Octavia style grille, lights and bumper. Not seen it done on a Pickup yet, I don't think it'll be the first, but I can't find a picture on Google images!
Also need it for the gearbox (syncro for second has gone on mine, as well as some bright spark welding, yes, welding, the selector rod to the selector input shaft.), driveshafts and a host of other mechanical doobries, and a lot of the interior trim.

Already swapped the strut brace from the estate to the truck. Skoda saw fit to only equip the petrol models with a strut brace. As if people with diesels could never drive a car spiritedly! lol!

Anyway, will update again soon when exciting things happen.

I really like the thought of the front end swap.....like the wheel colour I did my original VR6 BBS's the same colour....Halfords graphite if I recall lol

I am after something silly to do another H4H road trip in next year and one of these or similar may be the order of the day.

Looking forward to seeing the new front end.

Saw this on Ebay.......

So how ahead of the scene am I? Not only do I have this sweet Thomas the Tank Engine look going on, I have quite possibly the first fully facelift fronted Skoda pickup in the UK. Ace.

Now need to make it all one colour. Hmm..

Purple? Probably not :P The wheels are 15"s, i'd like to go to banded 14 steels with chrome caps but will have to wait for that I think. Ofset the modern..inity of the front.

EPIC rich. just EPIC.

It can only get better mind ;)

Hardslam, needed. The chassis looks like it'll acept Seat Ibiza 6L coilovers, but at 200, I can't really afford it right now.

The old grille is.. wierd looking. And also ruined, with the odd addition of a random VW badge. I initially wanted the Caddy 'Polo 6N' front, just debadged, but as I need a host of other bits too, plus the rarity factor, made me go with buying a car with this front end on and swapping. I prefer it, I like the grille! :) Might look better when its all one colour, even if it is matt black! It deffo needs lowering too. That's another factor that'll help.
